A woman named Eunice Hop came to youth group tonight, and talked about Islam and how Christians can minister to them. It was quite an enlightening experience.
Ms. Hop must be over seventy, but she has been to more than sixty nations, and in the last year, to Ireland and Morocco. She's also involved in prison ministry. Quite the Renaissance woman, really.
She gave us some food for thought about Muslim-Christian relations. What really struck me is that Muslims think that all America is orthodox Christian. Thus, they think every debauched Hollywood movie is representative of a Christian life. Thus, they hate us. We need to be better examples, more Christ-like. Only then can we move forward.
